Who told you that?
Who told you that?
It’s a simple question, but it cuts deep. When Satan tempted Eve in the garden, he didn’t just deceive her—he planted questions in her head. Questions about God, questions about beliefs, questions about what would truly satisfy her. And ever since, we’ve been wrestling with the same thing.
Who told you that you’re not enough?
Who told you that you’re too broken to be loved?
Who told you that you’ll never change?
Who told you that your worth is tied to someone else’s approval?
God didn’t say any of those things.
The voice of God says something completely different:
“You are fearfully and wonderfully made.” (Psalm 139:14)
“You are chosen.” (1 Peter 2:9)
“You are loved with an everlasting love.” (Jeremiah 31:3)
“You are my child.” (John 1:12)
But here’s the problem: when we don’t spend time listening to God’s voice, we let the voices of others—or the lies of the enemy—define who we are. We start looking for approval from people, chasing after things that will never satisfy us, instead of resting in the truth of how God sees us.
If you’ve been struggling with feelings of insecurity, doubt, or not being enough, I want to ask you: Who told you that? And more importantly, will you let God tell you who you are?
You are not what the world says about you. You are who God says you are. And He says you’re loved, redeemed, and made for a purpose.
